Thailand and Vietnam are playing AFF cup and are in red hot form. There’s no way we can go ahead of them

Also we should stop being obsessed with rankings. We struggle to beat mid tier Asian teams so it shouldn’t matter.

If we are in Pot 3, there is a possibility of getting teams like Hong Kong, Malaysia & Indonesia and we will have chance of winning atleast 1 game. It is matter of pride to win a game in Asian cup and not about rankings.

Leave Vietnam, despite their FIFA ranking, their pot2/pot3 position is guaranteed due to their last AFC qualifiers performance. Even better ranked nations like Uzbekistan/Jordan/Bahrain cannot displace Vietnam.

Both Krygstan and Palestine are a whooping 40 points ahead of India, is it possible to gain 40 points in a short span of time and race ahead of them to Pot 3 ?

As per Marcus, we will play against stronger opponents in March (away games) and Inter-Continental cup (Home) will happen in June.

I have heard that we are playing Russia and Iran. There’s no way we are beating them

what's the point in playing Russia now? They are banned na. Just for some unoffical match practice it can be considered worthy.

That's ok. This Proposal might be from Russian FF. It's better to maintain relations with countries like Russia. Anyhow, we will get to play Iran 1st team in March.

When was the last time India played against a Pot1 or Pot2 European nation ???? It's been ages I guess !
