@7negi, Malaysia's and India's rise and fall were concurrent. In the 50's and 60's both were strong. That is why FIFA made their regional HQ in Kuala Lampur, not in the Gulf or Far East. Countries there were still taking baby steps -- later the Sheikhs hijacked AFC by money power, but that's a different story. Malaysian football declined simultaneously with India, God knows why.
But now, they are showing better organization and more passion, which however are yet to reflect in their ranking or performance.
