lots of discussion going amongst fans regarding chanting against away teams. i think most of them come from cricket following background and say we should respect the opponents. the manjappada members are explaining them that it is natural in world football whether you are NT captain or legend or player from own state. for few days in whatspp groups, a video of VP suhair with emotional BGM was circulated which lead to polarising reactions. players like Ashique,Suhair have been target of such chants. In away fans block some own state player relatives/frineds can be seen having the banner "Sorry Manjappada but our brother is playing for other side".
most of the fans including me was happy to see video of police taking horns from the fans while checking in the entrace. for the first time in tha match vs ATKMB, we could hear the chants clearly. But still I could hear some horns. Don't know how they sneaked into. this was also in the debate amongst the fans. the official members want the horns to be banned but some casual fans take it inside. anyways i expect them to drop the numbers in coming days.
it will take some time to get atleast one full side of the stadium to be organized in chanting.
Chants, Horns, drums are all part of making Football a visual spectacle on television and for visitors in the stadium.
Just for example i am posting a video of malaysia
Oh Ale-ale,
Ale-ale my Malaysia,
(Ale-ale Malaysiaku)
Oh Ale-ale,
Ale-ale my Malaysia,
(Ale-ale Malaysiaku)
I witness, I support, I'm proud of,
(Ku lihat, ku sokong, ku banggakan)
For the Malaya Tigers
(Untuk Harimau Malaya)
The land where I was born
(Tanah tumpah darah)
Meaning of this chant, Ultras Malaya comrades will always stood along side the national team, known as Harimau Malaya or english Malaya Tigers, support regardless of good or bad days will always be proud of the national team because it represents their the homeland or place were born.
becasue of last week seroius accident invloving school children, suddenly police and MVD are going on rampage. they themselves are removing lights, horns in front of camera as it is for show off.

chants - ok drums - ok horns - not ok
we have seen how irritating it was when watching 2010 WC. similarlry horns are not coming under organized manner, so it feels disturbance to hear. also many older people come to watch football here. why i support drums because it is part of kerala culture and it feels music. horns are nonsense and nuisance.
