What was also very evident was guys like Jeje ,Sabeeth , and a few others have come back with massive attitude & chips on their shoulder after ISL...this could be detrimental to Indian football in long run...guys saving themselves for ISL
isl had effect on Indian players some players like jeje after becoming top scoring Indian in isl has become overconfident and he thinks scoring i-league/fed cup is nothing to him. other players like victarino want to impress they will perform well to get in isl. next season we will see more quality players in isl as oldies will not get club.
I think ISL has ruined careers of certain Indian fringe players...
Looking at the likes of Renedy Singh , Sushil Singh , Godwin Franco ( SCdeGoa), Ishfaq Ahmed (Pune FC ) and numerous others struggle to find a club, just goes to show what a bunch of rag-tag players were in ISL.
All I-League clubs need is a bigger share of the pie & they can then afford to spend on better quality foreigners..
I-League cubs will continue to churn out young performers like Mauvin Borges, Rosario Mendes , Thongkosiam Haokip , Udanata Singh etc...while the "youth" of ISL will be gimmicks like Pratik Shinde & Abneet Bharti types
