U19 teams played a practice match against Churchill u19 for preparations. and won!!!


The Indian U-19 team defeated Churchill Brothers’ U-19 squad in a practice match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda. The India U-19 colts won 4-2. Prabir Das scored a brace while Siam Hanghal and Yumnam Meetei scored one each for the winners.
The boys are presently training in Goa for the AFC Qualifiers to be held in Iran from October 31 to November 10, under the watchful eyes of Technical Director Colm Toal.
India have been clubbed in Group C along with hosts Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Thirty-one boys have reported for the camp which is slated to run till the team departs for the U-19 Qualifiers.

One of the scorers Siam Hengel was in TFA last year and scored a goal against Balestier Khalsa when TFA visited Singapore.(3-1)

U-19 colts rout Churchill 8-0

The U-19 National team presently training in Goa under the watchful eyes of Technical Director Colm Toal routed Churchill Brothers U-19 8-0 team in a friendly match played at the Chowgule Ground.
Sumi Passi scored a hat-trick while Ravishankar Kumra netted a brace. Besides Souvik Das, Jonychand Singh and Lalnunmawia scored one apiece.

Not only churchill.. same with almost all the clubs... <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> without proper youth teams from clubs, Indian football will not develop..

Anyhow all the best boys.. hope they will qualify for the next round..
