Why would Liverpool trade a slow midfielder (Gerrard) for another one. Also, Chelsea don't need Pirlo and Pirlo does not need Chelsea.

I would not be surprised if he is off this summer... if not then next year but it will be Qatar.

Agree, I just don't think Liverpool or Chelsea need him. Liverpool especially have more to do, first figure out what to do with Rodgers.
