Nerve + Rain don't give you much choice but play direct football, and Shouvik was absolutely ridiculous thought the game. Misspass + fouls, Vikramjit rightly replaced him and made an impact against Shankar and Eugenson. And if someone replace a coach in mid season has very little to do in bringing new footballers specially in Indian circuit. Time to welcome new generation of coaches buddy.
To be honest, half of Bagan's success was due to the amazing early season form of the foreigners, Balwant Singh was also firing at first, and Debjit so happened to start well.
Bengaluru FC also messed up early. Great season, not taking anything away from Sen, but lets look at Bagan realistically here. Deserving champions, the table does not lie, but it was not on the coach mainly as much as it was the players themselves.
My point was not about coach against footballer, I always believed new age AFC licensed coaches are better than earlier ones (Specially in Bengal), at the end of the day it is always players no doubt about that.
