PIL against AIFF for India's poor performance in World Cup Qualifiers

The fact remains, Football at amatuer level is popular, Football at a professional level is not...The fault lies with the failure of the national league. If AIFF had the expertise to mass market since the Second season of the  NFL (1st season believe it or not was an amazing sucess comparable to the 1st season of ISL) then we would have had the same passion that we have for cricket when they lost poorly in a overseas tour or in the world cup.

Irony is NFL was started just 4 years after EPL which also faced issues on how to commercilize the product better, Most of the better leagues in Asia also started along with NFL at the same time. Indian football came out of it as losers in the end.
