Mate most of the shorty Nepalese we see are the pahadi (hilly) folks, on contrary the one in the planes are more similiar to the Himachal Pradesh folks and they are quite decently built. In fact the Gurkhas i saw while growing up in a northern eastern state are tall with many averaging 6 feet.
its not about overage players...if this is the case go and see in indian football page where one guy is complaining his own indian team having overage players because some of them is his childhood friend...does this mean indian has overage player?its not good idea to criticize if the opponents look stronger
Even if Nepal send overage players like last time when they were caught at AFC championship still we defeated them in their home in front of hostile crowd and our young players gave them solid answer of dhoti chants later on by celebrating in whole stadium.
we have the courage to admit the fact. Now India is slowly getting free of overage players in u14, u16 category. And don't tell me that every u16 look like 21/23 at least, is a fact, because they are strong. It is not. Either they are overage or they do have medical problems like precocious puberty ( pati banglai AKAL PAKKA / BERE PAKA ), pituitary adenoma or other endocrinological disorder, for which they should be treated. Except height and weight of a adolescent, there are few secondary sexual character which can also predict age. So if ANFA is a good administrator, then they should do a XRAY or MRI for age determination, and throw out the overage players ( Mind you AIFF did the same few days ago with one overage player ROBINSON ). one prime example of Nepal born overage player is Bimal Magar.
You are right. But age fraud is so rampant that it needs a thorough approach. Like inspecting each case. Which is expensive as well as need some management expertise from AIFF's side (not raising the cost issue here).
One needs the right frame of mind (from the part of players/ coaches/ clubs) than strict policing. This is, after all, about development of the junior players, nothing more.
for those who says bimal is overaged...we have to think ones.if bimal is really overaged than why the big clubs in belgium called him for their u17 trail...before entering trail you have to pass even medical test .european dont give damm to our medical test...so oviously he has given medical test for their academy and played for their u17 side
