The league is for posterity...the mentioned clubs may or may not fight the case. pIL is enough.
National league by definition cant have such entry barriers. Merit of the team can be the only criteria.
40 cr KBFC could still loose to Salgaocar and AFC & that's how any sustainable league works.
These rules are ok for a pvt reality show which ISL is currently. Thats why I am sceptical of the merger. IMGR has way too much to loose.
I think deepak you are still to get an understanding of modern football reality. AFC and Salgocar can beat any ISL franchise on its day, But the business of football is not on isolated upsets but financial sustainability.
Note that none of BFC, MB & EB core supporters have and will never be against the idea of a merged and more importantly stronger financial league with more corporate muscle.
Clearly not understanding your imaginative tirade against the nature of business mate.
Even tiny Alcorcon of 4th tier La liga has managed to beat Real Madrid over 2 legs in the past in copa del rey but that doesn't mean they belong to Primera Liga.
Yes they don't that's exactly my point.....there is no bar on them..if they can come up with a team they can reach for top flight.there is no set of thugs collecting Hafta at the gate
Well in a merged league there is a greater possibility of MB and EB getting bigger corporate backing than right now in I-League.. This is a fact..Bagan is struggling for a sponsor while EB has budget cuts from Kingfisher..In a better organized league with greater visibility these clubs are a gold mine for any sponsor. I dont think any MB or EB supporter who knows the scenario will be against this..
In case of BFC there is a greater chance of them going the Pune FC way if the I-League continues.A merged league will be a better investment for them. And they get a spot for free unlike the other franchises. That's lucrative.
The only people who would regret after the merger will be the Piramals!
Are we sure it would be free? All this talk of fairness and these 3 would get in for free? Maybe a discount which they can afford but surely they must pay something to be apart of this... either that or they give up some image rights so they can become a proper "franchise" or whatever.
