Looks like a lot of FIFA grants could be on the way if Aiff "shows" it is serious about women's football. Its an old trick by politicians. Read a book called " everyone loves a good draught" by p Sainath to understand how these corrupt politicians milk the system
MB remains the team to beat. IMO, it's Yusa who has been fantastic this season and is more instrumental to their success than Norde. Yesterday apart from that free kick, Norde was pretty ordinary and a good GK should have saved that. How Debjit doesn't get called for NT remains a mystery.
Table
Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and 11Even Sports today announced the
roadmap for the proposed franchise based Table Tennis League in India.
TTFI
and 11Even Sports representatives recently met with major table tennis
federations from across the world in Kuala Lumpur and were encouraged
by the support they received for the proposed TT League in India.
Similarly, the representatives of world governing body, International
Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) were impressed by the growth and interest
in sports leagues in India and have assured of
their support in popularising the sport through TTFI.
Mrs Vita Dani, 11even Sports said she was encouraged by the support from both Indian
as well as the world federation.
“We
had a possible window available in May-June this year. But since it was
just ahead of the Rio Olympics, we decided not to pursue, as Olympic
is a landmark event in any athletes career and we would not want
anything to come in way of a players preparations for the world event,”
said Mrs Dani.
“We
have planned the world’s first professional franchise based Table
Tennis League in India, dates of which will be announced post the Rio
Olympics.
We are upbeat on the prospect of the proposed League, and what it means
to bring the sport back in spotlight for our Indian players. 11Even
Sports is thankful to the ITTF for their support and continues to work
with the world body to create calendar for TT
in India which will include franchise based league as well as
international events.”
Dhanraj Choudhary, Secretary General TTFI
comments, “The performance of Indian Table
Tennis players has been improving and I am confident that with the
coming of proposed League it would improve further. We thank 11Even
Sports and Mrs Vita Dani for the support given for the growth of the
game in all segments in India.”
Kamlesh Mehta,
Indian TT legend added, “11Even Sports is committed to work on
improvising
the standards of the sport in India from grassroots, enhancing
infrastructure and creating professional environment to herald a new era
of Table Tennis. I am delighted that I am able to give back something
to the sport through my association with the League.”
They dont care about sport. They are after the IPL Model where Businessman can "show" "investments" on "Franchise" and get Tax Deductions. As long as legally it is fine, they will keep on creating IPLs. BCCI is the big boss and will not release their players to others, so non-Cricket sports have this windfall.
