Dhars's interview: First time I realized he can talk (unless the interview was conducted in sign language) and he has a brain (and is allowed to use it -- however insufficient it is).

"... We have formed a marketing committee for the first time and it embraces all involved in the game. ..." Why after ALL these years after coming into office? You should have done/ attempted this in your very first year. A league does not need a CEO only to draft schedules. It is criminal offence not to think of marketing the league in two decades of running.

That said, the initiatives, though late (after sacrificing so many fine clubs), are welcome. Let's see what unfolds in the coming days ...

Mumbai FC owners are saying that this time they are aiming for the I-League title. If they are serious, first thing they should do is kick out Khalid 'mid-table' Jamil

I don't know. Jamil was never given a proper team, so we don't know how good would he be.

Aizawl will have to spend a lot more time and multiple times the money compared to other teams on Traveling and logistics. Just check the flight duration and cost from Aizawl to an I league city on any website.

They should probably base their team in Kolkatta and travel to Aizawl for their home matches to reduce costs and time.

@atuljg That is not possible. They have to play 8 home games and 8 away games. Live at home Aizawl and get advantage for atleast those 8 games. By living in Calcutta, who will pay for their lodging for 5 months and then 8 times flying to Aizawl and 6 times to other cities??? Thats absurd!!!!
By the way Sikkim United, Royal Wahingdoh in the past and this year Neroca and Shillong Lajong are also doing their travel from North east regions to other cities. Sikkim team had to come by bus to Bagdogra airport-no mean feat for every travel from Gangtok. Even Shillong teams drive to Guwahati Airport. Atleast they have direct flights from Aizawl. Get a corporate Discount from Air India and they will have a good deal as North East flights are subsidised by Government.

I think AIFF provides proportionate subsidy or probably entire travel is subsidized.
