The first goal was clearly right backs fault (Was it Rino Anto?) he was clearly out of position that lead to the goal. He never tracked the Turks left Winger. Seriously, a basic error!!

  • The right back is Kotal. He is not so bad, and along with Rino (who is more attack-minded) and Ashutosh, we have half decent players in that position.

All the players your talking about are below standard at Asian level. We need better players coming through.

With most the nations making use of diaspora talent, we are falling way behind even in the worst football confederation.

Yes Recently, we have quite a few good RBs but you loose your confidence in them when they make such basic error.

I am tempted so much to say aloud.....without a year long league (2/3div at national level) with similar structures at zonal level....we don't have a platform for young talent to play regular football and develop....If ur going to stop all football for the sake of about 80 domestic players in the circus...we can hardly expect to have new world class talent emerging......that is the real elephant in the room which nobody wants to highlight...maybe because of the powerful interests involved.
  • We can either use them and make them better or stand around and say that we need better players coming through. What makes you think better players will come through any time soon? All 3 players I mentioned can be used well with a 4 at the back or 3 at the back system and they will do a job. The problem here in the sporting side is the coach IMO.

Yesterday was just a bad day for big teams. Even Germany, Brazil and Argentina lost. So, we are in good company.

Yes I agree surely this must go down as one of the greatest triumphs of the Turkmenistan football team....after all none of the players could even get on the bench of the worlds 4th best league...where Indian players regularly star.....they must have been surprised to not be thrashed 4/5-0 by the indian superstars.....
