SK Kamal Gold CUP 2015

The SK Kamal Gold Cup 2015 will be the first edition of the Sk Kamal Gold Cup, a international Club competition organized by Chittagong Abahani. The tournament will be hosted by Port City Chittagong from 18-28 of October. Eight teams are taking part, divided into two groups.

Good initiative by Chittagong Abahani. It acts as a good pre-season friendly atleast for I-league clubs.

It almost acts as a SAFF champions league with k electric and afghan club.....will be a good way to test regional supremacy

I rememeber Football club Abahani Krida Chakra of Dhaka. Is that club divided now into Chittagaon Abahani and Dhaka Abahani? Same club or that one has closed down?
How strong is Mohammedan Sporting Dhaka nowadays?

Yeah they are a very famous name in Bangladesh in Sports. They used to have Hockey team also and our players like Dhanraj Pillay used to play there. Also if you remember Raman Lamba tragic death, he was playing for Abahani Krida Chakra.
I wish one day our Calcutta clubs -MB, EB, Md. Sp also revive there Hockey and Cricket teams.

I guess i stand corrected..this SAFF cup and not SAFF champions league. league winners of I/N/B not partcipating. should still attract good crowds....hope we get a teleacst

I hope this tournament sees the light of the day. Initially they started with the champion clubs of each SAFF nation. But clubs are lukewarm at best. Sk Jamal Dhanmandi rejected, Afghan Chmp Shaheen Asmayee, Nepal, India (MB), Maldives champ clubs rejected. Now this has become a true invitational tournament.
