Dear IFN Members,
We would be completing 5 years of online existence on 30th January 2016. Thank you for making this forum exciting, knowledgeable, insightful and the go-to place for all Indian Football Fans across the world.
We have been accompanied by many of the members who joined us 5 years ago and are still active, while there were many who discovered us along the way. We are thankful to all of you.
In all these years, we have grown significantly, both as a Forum that generates voice that matters and also as a media that is biased towards Indian Football and sucks up to no one!
When we started the forum, we had the budget of $35 for one whole year! That was in 2011. Some of the old members would remember how we used to have long outages on the forum due to limited resources, one of them extending for up to 2 weeks! So @namewtheld and @rudra decided that we would have the best possible infrastructure for the one and only Indian Football Forum. Now this forum is powered by 24 cores of CPUs, Terabytes of Bandwidth, Solid State Drives and Memory to last us a lifetime!
All of this involves a huge cost (Approx $700 per year) and we have to depend on Google Ads largely to finance this. We understand that Ads on the forum can be annoying and we have tried to keep it Ad-Free for as long as we could. Some of our users suggested others to use adblock programs for this forum, which would throttle our finances further even though you are free to surf the web the way you want.
A more rational and considerate way to surf IFN Ad-Free is to Contribute towards IFN Server Costs . Here is what we plan for those who contribute:
1. Ads will be disabled for contributing users, regardless of volume of contribution
2. If we reach even 85% (roughly Rs 40,000) of the 700$, we would disable ads for all logged in members
3. Contributors will get special Donor badges to display along their profiles
4. Can upload attachments!
5. Guilt-free surfing of a small website like ours!
The target date is 15th Feb 2016

3. NEFT/Online transfer to our Bank Acc. (Details can be obtained by mailing to [email protected])
However, we understand that not all of the members are earning professionals. You can contribute in other ways to popularize IFN so that the community grows further. Some of the ways are:
1. Contribute articles to IFN Blog
2. Promote IFN articles on Social Media
3. Become e-evangelists of IFN Forum
4. Manage Tournament Schedules, Results, Player Profiles on IFN Blog
5. We are open to other ideas!
