To early for 8-10 trials. 8-10 year olds should just be learning the game through camps set-up by I-League teams. Also they should be learning the game at schools. When the players turn 13 is when they should join leagues.
The Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) will be conducting trials from Monday, February 13 to select the Mumbai Under-17 team to participate in the Maharashtra State Inter-District Football tournament to be held in Thane from February 16, 2012. Mumbai play their first match on February 22.
The trials will be held at the St Xavier’s Ground, Parel from 7.00 am onwards.
Players born on or after January 1, 1996 will be eligible to attend the trials. All those players, who meet the criteria, should report to the coaches, A.P. Rodrigues, Sydney Alexandra and Trevor, with proof of their age, at the venue.
