what if AIFF combine all teams from 1st and 2nd division this year itself (whichever left)? e.g. there are 6 in 1st division , 6 in 2nd division including Aizwal 12 team league seems fairly big .. apart from that whatever teams are left plus regional toppers who get entry in 2nd division can make it to new 2nd division (even if there are 6-8 teams are there its fine) & at present there are 4 teams exist which excludes below 6 teams minerva, NEROCA, Mohameddan, Gangtok Himalayan, lonestar Kashmir, Aizwal
after U17 WC, there can be rearrangement based on finalized structure
club license criteria and AFC norms can be set aside for new entrants so that they will get 1 year to work upon them
Hope AIFF & co will convince goan clubs to re-consider their decision.... without Goan representation in I-League ( League one and League two), Indian football will die and our national team will go back to our most dominant period and will target for SAFF cup by defeating likes of Nepal,Pakistan,SL & Bang...
On top of it, for us.. Indian football lovers....Qualifying for Asian cup will be a dream.... Fifa rank below 100 is a day dream.. and then qualifying for world cup is never our target/dream and it is a sin to even think of it (world cup participation)
@shanks_dehighliving , your idea is good, but I don't see it happening. Because, your figures are adding up well (6+6), but IMGR's & PP's figures (Rs 20 crores per team) are not. I-league teams will not be able to give them their cut money.
