player who can take on defense individually. Uttam was most of the time
blocked by defense and the final ball given to striker mostly of not
good quality. But when compared to our senior teams this team is highly organized and defended well.
Our Current U16 has few players who can take on defense Individually. And what we lacked was that in that particular campaign to succeed in AFC
to be honest the way the players were sidestepping Malaysian fullbacks at the wings,making space for crosses, quality of crossing was above our normal standards..The pace of striker Aniket Jadhav was impressive as were his dribbling and 1 v 1 skills, normally our strikers wouldnt be that creative...In the 2nd half the Indian team's stamina had easily overshadowed the Malays..If I remember correctly the previous Malay u-16's had easily beaten our U-16's comprising Jerry,Anirudh etc in India and here they scored capitalizing on a defensive mistake and penalty.So definitely this team is marginally better as of now.The problem was that most were being selfish, everyone wanted to score and unnecessary long range shooting. Despite dominating a bit the boys went down by a goal and were frustrated on being unable to finish chances..Am sure they have beaten far better sides than this..It will be interesting to hear Nicolai's comments about our performance
Keep in mind guys that this is also our first game in a while against a competitive team that is not from a good German academy or something like that. There is a difference between those types of sides. This is a good result honestly based on what I read about what happened.
It would be good if someone could make highlights of IND-MAL match taking the goals and important moments from the video available online on AIFFMedia youtube account. May be @7negi can request Hrisav to do this.
