Meeting set for 5 July. Reportedly all 8 ISL teams will take part in the league while Bengaluru FC, Mumbai, and Aizawl have also expressed interest in starting women teams. There will also be pre-qualifiers for other teams and in the end it will be a 10-team league.

League to start 25 September.

All 8 ISL teams??? :O wow..that's massive !! Any idea regarding the duration of the league?

Ya but my question is if all 8 teams are going to field a women's side and at least 3 I-League teams are interested, doesn't that make it 11 teams? Or will the I-League teams play in the pre-qualifiers first?

Already said it on reddit and I will say it here, I doubt this league will be a proper league and will probably be like other AIFF ran tournaments... neutral venues throughout, teams divided into 2 groups (or not) with top 2-4 (2 if in 2 groups) going into the finals etc.

That is what I believe the format will be but the question I have for that is how many games... will the teams play each other once or twice? Knowing the AIFF, once.

Let the league first happen. I think to expect this to be a proper league with home and away format is ridiculous. It wont happen. The fact that we have a league with a pool of indian players for a period of time in a calendar is the first step.
