In Men's High Jump T42 category,India had 3 competitors. All these competitors had a ranking of 1,2 and 3 in the world prior to the ParaOlympics. This is the first time ever that 3 Indians top the World Ranking across any Sport in any Category.
Really Great Job!!!
Also, credit should go to the Government also as they had announced the Same Prize Money to the Medal Winners as for the Normal Olympics Medal Winners.

For me, Mariyappan Thangavelu performance is best in Rio ... I'm not taking anything away from Sindhu/Sakshi... Butthis is just my opinion..
Tears were flowing whenever I watch video relatedto Gold medal Jump... I've almost watched video 10 times..
1.89 m is simply superb performance .He has caliber to jump more than 2 meters...
After knowing his back-ground, my respect towards him doubled/tripled....
His Background in brief: He is from Periyavadagam-patti, a village located 50 km from Salem in Tamil Nadu... A bus had run over his right leg, crushing it below the knee, leaving him with a permanent disability at the age of 5. His father abandoned, mother used to be domestic helper.... currently selling vegetables... and her daily income is very loss as she is still paying expenses incurred for Mariyappan surgery and also she need to take care of his coaching expenses...
As a child, he was fond of volleyball and even won medals in Regular Athletic competitions in State and National level... He is just 21 year old. Seems to be he has lot of passion on Sports... Credit should be given to his mother and coach as well.
Hope he will achieve more success.. ( As a Athlete now and in future as a Coach )
Algeria's paralympian Abdellatif Baka, along with three other para-athletes, recorded times in the in the 1500m - T12/13 event, which would have been enough to win a gold medal in the main 1500m event during the Rio Olympics.
