The 2016–17 I-League U18 will be the seventh season of the Indian I-League U18 and the second season of the competition as a under-18 one. The season will begin on 14 November with 37 teams divided into eight groups across India. The top 12 teams will move into the final group stage in which they will be divided into three groups of four and the top team from each group, along with the top second place team, will go into the semi-finals, followed by the final.

- Maharashtra: DSK Shivajians, Kenkre, Mumbai FC, PIFA, Pune City.

- Goa: AIFF Elite Academy, Dempo, Salgaocar, Sporting Clube de Goa.

Kolkata: Mohun Bagan kick-started their U-18 I-League campaign in style. They knocked over local side Southern Samity 3-0 at the Howrah Stadium on Thursday.
Deepak Tangri scored the opening goal for Mohun Bagan in the 32nd minute. The Mariners had quite a few opportunities to extend the lead. Both sides went into the breather with the score 1-0.
Bagan showed a lot of positive intent, result of which got rewarded in the 64th minute. Deep Saha scored for the Green and Maroon club. The Mariners dominated the entire second half and kept pressing to score more goals and in pursuit got their third goal in the 84th minute when Lironthung Lotha striked with his powerful long ranger.
