And despite that Jeje pocketed few crores for the three of seasons that he played with Bagan!

Just think - a club can't play its players the money, and yet Jeje makes crores in that club! So, just imagine what would have happened, had the club had the money...! :D

Oher things aside I still believe Jeje to be the best striker after Chetri. He's not flashy or speedy but he's effective and gels well with Chetri. So I would atleast like him to continue till Asian Cup. After that we could try other strikers at our disposal.

He would've done better than Dicka at MB.

Trying to prove something in MB and EB is a joke. All the people right from administration to coaches and training are of poor quality and there is unnecessary pressure on players from fans.

Jeje is the second best striker in the country after chetri and it's no surprise that they both have achieved so much for club and country away from Kolkata football.

Can't handle pressure? Don't play pro football. Simple.

Hello Mr/Ms @DX ! The most happening club of those days Dempo had shown the door to Jeje and he did not find any club to sign for. This is when Bagan came in and he got a fresh breath of life/career then! The problem with few of u is that u don't keep information about Indian football and whatever u gather is courtsey newspaper/social media reports - which in any case people don't remember the next day(b'cos by such time a new story is cooked up!) and hence u also forget.

If u r making money in whichever profession u r, u have to give the returns and in Kolkata ,footballers are under a scanner always b'cos people understand the game and hence u cant have a joy ride vis-a-vis other places. Now the choice is his, whether he wants to accept the challenge of Kolkata and grow, or back out. However, most players have accepted the challenge and also most have increased their "resale value/price tag" b'cos of their association with Kolkata club.

However, I completely agree with the other point of urs - training facility, administration are absolutely ridiculous in Kolkata; cannot the say the same for coaches though. Bagan's current coach Shankarlal has been an assistant coach for the last 4 years and this year he has been "promoted" as coach. Now BFC also did the same thing (albeit in 1 year), but people in this forum will go gaga over BFC's policy, but won't say the same for Shankarlal - either due to ignorance(not keeping himself updated) or b'cos he is biased about BFC. Everything that BFC does is obviously not correct - reflected in team selection etc.

Shankarlal is coach of MB not because of any great continuity philosophy on part of the management, but because the club is broke and cannot afford any Gora or celebrity coach.
