Those 8000 tickets are not for sale. FSDL will keep them to prevent the attendance being sellout.

With promotion, the response could have been great. Still, I am surprised that so many of people who are not even football fans, are buying tickets for the match. Few of my friends who have never watched football have bought tickets to display their love for the country. The reason for this excitement is surely that some popular Assamese FB pages have spread the news that India is playing FIFA qualifier for the first time and people are thinking that if we beat Oman then we will be playing the FIFA WC.
