20 million investment into Indian football by a European. This has to be the biggest scam executed in the world. What are they even expecting in return ?

I doubt FCB would be money laundering in India. CCFC has already proven they are good at scouting and developing talent. A real world class academy with top international youth coaches costs a bomb to run. Ask the Tatas and they will tell you! Additionally, they will use the funding to acquire CFC and then play in ISL. I am hopeful everyone involved are looking at a bigger picture here.

But why? Can't they wait a couple of years and wait for ISL to open up? Would save a lot of money which can be invested in more useful things.

I don't think 126 crores is right. They can actually start an ISL club on there own with that much money.

I'd say the same for European investors they can probably run 5 I-League clubs for under 25 crores than invest that much in another club. Nothing here makes sense.

They are legitimately being scammed and made to think India is as big as a market like China, Japan or Korea to invest such a huge some.

Probably this is the best example how you should not do business. You need to know about the market, profit, losses etc than just make blind investments.

No ISL clubs will ever make profits unless they have TV rights money and they make huge huge losses every season. Doesn't matter for a lot of rich guys since they invest black money.
