Ishan is used as a last minute resort because he is good with headers. Most coaches use "lob the ball in box" tactics as a final resort to get a goal and Ishan is lucky to get those deliveries. Apart from that he's your average Indian player.

For eg., the other day I saw Glan Martins trying desperately to kick the ball with his knees playing in Bagan jersey and yesterday he scored a peach of a goal for Goa!
