Adam le Fondre would be an excellent option... He is in good form in last 2 seasons and scored plenty of goals in A-League & English leagues including 1 season in EPL. He played in EPL, Championship, League one & League two
So basically ISL is now importing foreigners mostly from Australia...
This is a 500 cr brand, yet there no innovative approach(unlike what Bagan did this year or Chennai City FC did last year). One team sets a template, and the rest follow suit blindly, and these are either corporate clubs or backed by corporates! This isn't the way any organisation functions, blindly aping a stereotype model.
CCFC scout good players from Spain if you have a good connection there and don't depend on agents and Wikipedia/Transfermarket pages.
Sadly influence of agents is too much and the pool of players is smaller. There is a reason why most Asian foreigners are always Australian. Because they have agents who keep pushing profiles of multiple players and management doesn't seem to look beyond them
There are other reasons as well to choose A League players 1. Salaries, they don't offer like J League/ K League and ISL clubs can offer comparable salaries for A League players. We better talk less about Chinese Super League 2. Closed league & 2nd tier is not good. Players have very limited options to choose. Also Clubs have limited options to send contracted players on loan.
Jorge Costa: Two clubs have gave me offers. But right now I am sticking with 1 club. If it goes thru u could see me back in ISL. Which clubs? NEUFC and JFC?
