IMO, Below 40 Players should be called for AFC U23 qualifiers camp as per tournament guidelines, Players born on or after 1 January 1997 are eligible to compete in the tournament, so I chose players accordingly, plus 1-2 outside that age bracket can be called considering we are building squad for future (not sure if I missed few, add more names otherwise)
Goalkeepers:
Mohammad Nawaz,Dheeraj Singh,Prabhsukhan Singh Gill,Niraj Kumar
Defenders:
Nishu Kumar,Jerry Lalrinzuala,Sarthak Golui,Davinder Singh,Anwar Ali,Boris Singh ,Gaurav Bora
Shabas Ahammed Moothedath ,Harpreet Singh ,Thoiba Moirangthem,Sairuat Kima,Jitendra Singh,Sanjeev Stalin
some players are in set up already (due to agents or some other settings ), I dont expect them to be dropped otherwise I wouldnt keep players like Sarthak, davindar, Komal etc
Lets discuss about players from I league who deserve national team call up.. Its very sad to see very less number of I league players getting selected for the camp.. After the discussion, if someone can write an article about it, then it can make some impact.. I am sure many I league players deserve atleast a selection for camp.
