India will face Qatar, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in their upcoming Group E World Cup Qualification matches.

Qualifying games are returning after a gap of 19 months.

3 June 2021    India vs Qatar              10:30 PM (IST)    Jassim Bin Hammad Stadium, Doha

7 June 2021    Bangladesh vs India      7:30 PM (IST)    Jassim Bin Hammad Stadium, Doha

15 June 2021  India vs Afghanistan      7:30 PM (IST)     Jassim Bin Hammad Stadium, Doha  

 India are ranked fourth in their group with three points from four matches

 They are almost out of contention for the WC qualifiers but can qualify for the Asian Cup qualifiers by finishing third or even fourth (if they make it among the four best fourth placed teams across all groups)

 The matches would be broadcast live on the Star Sports network with online streaming being provided by Disney+ Hotstar VIP and JioTV

a) India are ranked fourth in their group with three points from four matches

I agree with @Nagendra that it is better to create a single thread for all the three games. The previous qualifying matches were played after long gaps so separate threads for each of these matches was justifiable but since they are being played pretty close to one another this time, it is better to club them under a single thread.

I can create the Euro and/or Copa America thread around Sunday if it is OK with everyone.

Very important matches in terms of ranking points. A good result will help us improve or hold onto current points. It is crucial because we should be in Pot 1 for ACQ 3rd round. Can avoid one top team then.

According to team sources, Stimac will also miss the services of Chinglensana Singh. The in-form Hyderabad FC defender was pencilled to play alongside Sandesh Jhingan in defence but is understood to have complained of mild soreness.

I guess either Rahul Bheke or Adil Khan will be partnering Jhingan in defence...not feeling very good as the performances of these two have not been up to the mark in recent times.
