Due to groups having different numbers of teams, the results against
the fourth-placed teams in four-team groups are not considered for this
ranking.
Exceptions:
In Group D, the results against the host country Uzbekistan are not considered.
In Group G, the runners-up results are not considered for this ranking, as the group contains only two teams
AFC always messes up their competitions. There are late withdrawls. Some Groups have 2,3 or 4 teams. Points against last team not considered is sheer nonsense.
Best is to make fresh groups if teams withdraw at the last moment.
Not only U23 but similar things do happen in World cup / Asia Cup Qualification too
Yes if we win against kyrgz then they are the 4th place team as Oman defeated them in previous match. So our match against them will not count and we will have 3 points( result against Oman) and 0 goal difference. That it self is tough as East asian group runners up are having easy opponents in their group and chances of win will be bigger which will help them in GD .
Its because of our love to this game, we still hope we can qualify but it is going to be same as always max we get a 0-0 draw. Its been the trend in our qualification rounds . But I feel in U 16 level we can expect a qualification but not in U23 level

We should focus on what's in our hand i.e to win the match.
