They just want to make the league appear more competitive. Or they want to make the Trophy look bad to make the teams consider the Shield higher. Knowing AIFF its probably the first one.

As it should be! AFC Cup slot should go to Super Cup Winners. ISL Playoff winner should get ACL slot like in A-League.
