Dheeraj does not have a great attitude as well. He looked lackadaisical in all training sessions I have seen as well. He has remained injury free and I hope he nails down his place. He had pressure at ATK. Here in Goa I was hoping for him to establish himself.
More bad news. Sahal is not fit & will not play against Australia. Now, Apuia & Brandon will play major role in midfield. I feel Suresh & Thapa will be supporting defense.
It feels there is no hype or buzz for the tournament within the country/media or even overall. Hasn't been any promotion or build up for the Tournament. Doesn't feel like India will be participating in some prestigious tournament.
Suresh and Thapa no disrespect are one of the shortest players in the whole tournament. I really wished someone like Borges was in form. Against a physical side like Australia I am not sure if we can even defend through out. They also play long balls. We def miss Anwar for this tournament. More than Sahal, if he was there we could have got a draw. We drew Iraq nobody believed that was possible.
