Very unlikely, although they have a mathematical chance of doing so.

With three matches remaining, EB are currently 9th in the table with 24 points in 21 games. Kerala Blasters and Punjab FC have the same points, but EB has a better goal difference. Chennaiyin FC have the same points and the same GD, but they are placed in the 8th position for having scored more goals. Odisha is in the 7th and Mumbai FC in the 6th position with 29 and 32 points respectively. So even if EB win all their remaining matches, they would need the teams above them to drop points significantly.
Eastbengal Road To Top 6 :

    1) East Bengal has to win their remaining 3 league matches.

    2) Chennaiyin FC has to beat Northeast United FC.

    3) Odisha FC have to lose 1 out of their 2 matches.

    4) Chennaiyin FC has to lose against Bengaluru FC.

East Bengal defeated Hyderabad FC 2-0

A pretty insipid performance by the Red and Golds. Their first-half performance was extremely shoddy, only after the introduction of Richard Celis in the second half did the attack look to have intent. A lucky own-goal by Manoj Mohammad and a last-minute goal by Messi Bouli saved the blushes for the team.

Mohun Bagan drew 2-2 with Mumbai City FC, Jamshedpur FC drew 1-1 with Kerala Blasters

Kerala Blasters are out of the play-off race, FC Goa are into the semi-finals along with MBSG

Personally, I do not think that Odisha and East Bengal stand a chance of entering the playoffs; MCFC and NEUFC will make it to the top six I guess

watched mb vs Mcfc. VP Singh is the biggest drama queen in Indian football. this guy will never reach heights due to his show face attitude. From apologizing to his gf for cheating on live tv after winning an award last year. this game he did unnecessary drama after getting red carded. he should accept decisions even if unfair sometimes. youre playing professional football for god sake! this guy will never have elite mentality. very visible whenever his team is at disadvantage.

When i saw all the crying and sad dancing. its not a movie ahole just GO!  just go try your hand in the movie industry or something

A stoppage-time penalty from Sunil Chhetri shattered East Bengal FC’s playoff hopes as Bengaluru FC held them to a 1-1 draw at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan. The result leaves East Bengal out of the ISL 2024-25 playoff race, while Bengaluru FC secured a hard-fought point. Here are the top five talking points from the match.

    1. Sunil Chhetri’s Ice-Cold Penalty With BFC trailing 1-0 deep into stoppage time, a handball inside the box handed them a lifeline. Chhetri stepped up and calmly slotted the penalty into the bottom right corner, salvaging a crucial point for Bengaluru FC and officially knocking East Bengal out of the playoff race.

    2. Raphael Messi Bouli’s Early Strike East Bengal started the game on the front foot, and their efforts were rewarded when Raphael Messi Bouli struck in the 11th minute. A well-worked move saw Bouli cut in from the right and finish clinically, giving the home side a deserved lead.

    3. Dimitrios Diamantakos’ Red Card East Bengal looked in control until Dimitrios Diamantakos received a straight red card just before halftime for a rash challenge. The dismissal forced EBFC into a defensive setup, allowing Bengaluru to dominate possession and build pressure in the second half.

    4. Bengaluru FC’s Frustrating Misses Despite having 67.9% possession, Bengaluru FC struggled to break through a resilient East Bengal defense. Edgar Mendez and Aleksandar Jovanovic both missed golden opportunities, with Jovanovic’s header striking the post in the 80th minute.

    5. East Bengal’s Playoff Dreams Come to an End With only one game left, East Bengal’s maximum possible points tally is 31, which is not enough to catch sixth-placed NorthEast United FC (32 points). The draw mathematically eliminated them from the ISL 2024-25 playoffs, marking a disappointing end to their campaign. East Bengal now turn their focus to their final game against NorthEast United on March 8, while Bengaluru FC will face Mumbai City FC on March 11.

NEUFC defeated CFC 3-0 and qualified for the playoffs

Besides scoring a goal, Ajaraie also assisted the goals scored by Nestor Albiach and Jithin MS. Not only is he the highest goal-scorer, he has the second highest number of assists (07) this season.

What a dynamite this guy is!
