NIVIA Simbolo: Official football for NPL

The ball that the greatest footballer in the world - La Pulga Atomica Lionel Messi mesmerized football fans in India during the Argentina Vs Venezuela exhibition match would be dribbled around by professional footballers in the state.

A symbol of high achievement for NIVIA and a ball that signifies the rapid development that NIVIA is undertaking in sport goods manufacturing is Simbolo. FIFA has approved ball will be the official football for the Nagaland Premier league.

NIVIA is the proud sponsor for NPL and comes in as the official sporting partner. NIVIA under the dynamic leadership of its MD, Rajesh Kharabanda strongly believes in delivering the best of quality standards for sports development in India and has been the premier company in this sector.

The importance of being the Sporting Partner is that NIVIA recognizes NPL as a football development program and also sees the potentiality of Nagaland becoming a powerhouse of Indian Football or to look into the perspective from history that to rebuild the lost status of football in India it once held.

The Laws of the Game demand that all balls used in international matches organised by FIFA or the confederations bear one of the FIFA quality marks (FIFA APPROVED or FIFA INSPECTED) or the “IMS International Matchball Standard” mark.

The referee can then be sure that the matchball meets all the necessary requirements, and he only needs to check the ball’s air pressure. Simbolo is one such premium ball designed for optimum bounce and trajectory properties, feels “SOFT” on the Foot and Head, is fast in flight, permits optimum handling and ball control, and meets or exceeds the specifications required by FIFA . Embodies the perfect roundness and dimensional stability, a high abrasion resistance and low water resistant.

NIVIA is India’s leading Sports Brand, influential and intimately involved in shaping sports in the country. As the originator of breakthrough technologies & innovative products, for decades NIVIA has produced legendary classics and earned nation-wide legitimacy in each sport that it has participated in.

Backed by generations of sportsmen, NIVIA is the true INDIAN Iconic Sports Brand. NIVIA is Indian leading manufacturer of sports equipment, footwear & accessories.

NPL wants to get the best out of the youngsters. Heck I bet maybe next year Nagaland will make a huge run in the Santosh and BC Roy Trophy.

Lovely article. Maybe Sangpang FC could create some trouble to.

Also I am surprised at how much this league is NOT being talked about on here and on facebook. This league, in my opinion, has better intentions than the Bengal Premier League Soccer. For instance the champion of the NPL makes the I-League 2nd Division. Second unlike the BPLS which cares for money this league is focused on the youth and giving them a platform to become a professional. Also unlike the BPLS the names of the clubs are actually good names. Naga Tornados, Kohima Komets, these are amazing names. They also have nice 21st century logos. Also this league will most likely not need to have "icon" players in order to bring in a crowd.

Come on guys support the NPL. This league is the true state league that other leagues should model. For example I think that Kerala or Chennai would benefit from this model. Even Maharashtra and Delhi would as well.

  • Shillong Lajong FC coming to Nagaland

The pride of Northeast and carrying the echoes of 8 football crazy states – Lajong FC shilling is coming to Kohima Nagaland to play an exhibition match during the opening ceremony of the inaugural Nagaland Premier League.

The dreams and values of this club is what most NPL clubs should look up to in terms of how football passionate entrepreneurs can achieve and unlock the doors of possibilities, stated a press hand out issued by Press Secretary, Nagaland Premier League, Moala Longchar.

The club was established in 1983 with the prime objective of improving the diminishing standard of football in the state of Meghalaya, and to spot, train and nurture local talent.

Their objective has now turned into being the Local club for the entire northeast and they shoulder that responsibility with honuor. A major force to be reckoned with in the I – League, Lajong’s goals and ambitions are set to only how far they see over the rainbow for they are now well beyond the hills of the Northeastern states.

Shillong Lajong FC’s exhibition match in Kohima will be the showcase match during the Nagaland Premier League opening ceremony and 442 Management is excited to have Lajong FC visit Nagaland.

Just for the sheer inspiration they can provide to all club owners of the NPL as we embark on a new era of football in the state. This is the club that loves Nagaland and they want to connect strongly with the football fans in Nagaland.

They have given Imliakum, our local boy from Dimapur a shot at the Bayern Munich’s famous football academy which has nurtured current German stars like Phillip Lahm, Thomas Muller and Bastian Schweinsteiger. We do believe that we Nagas don’t lack in terms of talent even though our infrastructure is poor compared to others and the NPL will be just a start with endless possibilities.

Hence the management believes Lajong to be the ultimate role model for Nagaland clubs to emulate professionally. The Lajong FC management includes Larsing Ming as their general secretary and he is also one of the NPL league Patrons.

He has been a strong advocate for football development in the Northeast region and India and an adamant supporter of the NPL because of the prospects of what it can do to Nagaland Football.

Nagaland Football fanatics will see the Lajong first team in action and will experience stars like Eugene, Matthew, Tuboi and their charismatic captain Johnny who is touted as one of the best midfielder playing in the I- League; exchanging passes, tackles and stepovers with our local footballers.

The exhibition match will be held during the opening ceremony on March 2 at the local ground Kohima from 2 pm onwards. SLFC will also be conducting coaching clinics for junior footballers and goalkeepers. Along with that SLFC managers and coaches will be available to interact with the officials of the various participating club of the NPL.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________

Yet the NPL continues to impress me. Same with Lajong who are trying to spread there fan base in uncharted territory in I-League.
