Yes that's true that football has taken a battering in my city and state. But to be honest it was not just football but sports as general took a battering which was a general reflection of broader things that were corrupted and and were happening here for many years during that s.o.b rule in bihar. But now as a hole the things have been on the up for past few years in the broader sense and hopefully sports will pick up soon and particularly football. What people don't know abt that many Indian footballers and sportspersons have come from this state but have left for other states for better opportunity.

Hey guys my real name is Won-Jin Um. I am South Korean. I live in a small island of Guam, but I am at South Korea for vacation. I love to play football and basketball. The main reason why I joined this is because I have gain some respect for the Indian goalkeeper Subrata Pal ever since the Asian Cup, so I am here to learn more about him.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Now about Subrata Pal.

@somesh After the game between South Korea vs India in the Asian Cup. Subrata Pal got a lot of attentions from the K-League, but I don't know about the J-League. :/ Sadly in the K-League we have a policy that all the goalkeepers are Korean, so the Korean NT team could have better keepers in the future. Most of the K-League fans say it's stupid even I say it's stupid. It would have been great for Subrata Pal to play in one of the K-League teams.

@phanik1234 I don't want to be offensive to the I-League, but don't you want Subrata Pal to hone his goalkeeping skills in a different league?

Welcome to the forum and i do want Subrata to join a league of higher standard but due to some issue or other issues it is not happenning. But I wont say the goalkeeper rule in k-league is stupid because due to similar reason england suffered due to lack of a proper goalkeeper

sorry for the confusion.. I was just providing info abut his next year plans and all.. I do really want him to play abroad to hone his skills... But just wondering he didn't get even one in asian top leagues...

Long back, he had a trail with Canadian side, Vancouver Whitecaps FC.. After that never heard much abut his trails in abroad..
