Now its being reported that Uttam went only to practice there and not for trials..which news is true??<br>I think it has to be a low profile trial for the academy team<br>

<span style="font-weight: normal;">yup i can clear the doubts..Uttam was approached by </span><b>Reading FC</b><span style="font-weight: normal;"> for their </span><b>academy team</b> before he went to colorado , but since his agent had already made a deal with colorado he could not go to Reading then...we had told reading that uttam will be available for trials after his stint in colorado gets over...few months back reading again contacted us and asked to send uttam...but  as his agent is also involved who wanted to send him elsewhere(Kasiwa reysol)..things got complicated and we had to send uttam without his agent's knowledge...even though he did well there and he was as good as any player in reading <b>academy</b> two things can go against him (<b>1. his small physique 2. India's fifa rankings) reading will give an official conformation in a few days but let's not get our hopes too high.... , </b>but on the positive side we realized that if we try and send to a country where fifa ranking barrier won't be there he can do well.

@dhungel35 Thanks for the information. But as far as I understand, the FIFA Ranking factor counts only for the top tier leagues and not the academy teams. So why is that a problem for him?

i too think along the same lines so far we do not know the result of the's trail....reading's academy coaches will be submitting a report based on which their management will make a final call.

<br><br>Can you throw some more light on the Kashiwa Reysol things??..when is/was that supposed to happen?<br>

we had to let go of that opportunity...due to certain issues with his agent who had arranged the trip to japan.

So the net result is that if Reading FC thing doesn't work out, which is quite likely, Uttam Rai is back to square 1

@dhungel35 - when you say 'we', are you referring to uttam's family and friends? or is it some other agency/association?
