I just coudnt stop laughing after reading your comments. I just dont buy that Prayag United is not dependant on foreginers. Dude look at thier line up, as arsnelfan said what is prayag without them nothing zero. Look at the number of goals scored by a foreigners and compare that with other teams and then you will understand what im saying. I agree that other teams also rely on foreign strikers but there are teams like Pune FC who have one striker an Indian, now even Dempo plays with Abranches, Look at HAL. Dude get your facts right.
Atleast Pune FC has a fan base, i dont think there even exists a fan base for Prayag United. And you dont have to worry about the fan base till the time we guys are there u can guarantee that the fan base will only grow. You worry about buiding a fan base for your team Mr

I never said Prayag is not dependent on foreigners, every club is dependent on foreigners. But Prayag does have quality Indian players.Foreigners scoring goals because they are the ones playing as strikers, but you can't forget the contribution of indian players. In last season Dempo's maximum scoring came from Ranti Beto so did you mean to say they are nothing without foreigners. This season Dempo do not have choice rather than playing abranches as striker and if you mention HAL then it looks even funnier. What is their performance in I League.Regarding fan base if your club is not performing then if you like it or not fan base bound to decrease.Probably you are a new entrant in Indian football so it looks funny to you.One more thing for your FYI Prayag is building the fan base however small it might be.

I somewhat agree with Dip. Prayag has a quality bunch of Indian players and all the names that he has already mentioned do contribute a lot in making the foreigners score. Another fact that corroborates the argument is that MB has one of the best striker combo upfront. But they do not have a Lalkamal

I am just saying that without the foreigners it could have ended Prayag 1-1 Pune FC, Prayag United 2-1 Pune FC or even Prayag United 1-2 Pune FC. I admit they have amazing midfielders and defenders who are all Indian (besides Bello Razaq) But in 4 matches that Prayag United have scored 9 goals and 7 of them are foreign. I mean come on man. We are lacking in this area. That is why Jeje on most days kills the opposition because at Indian Arrows and Pune FC he plays as the lone striker or partner to Arara Izumi while all the other Indians whether down. Even Sunil Chhetri when I watches Bagan's match against Chirag Kerala I was appalled to see Chhetri being the second striker, the feeder to Odafe. Why not let both Chhetri and Odafe be parallel partners. Now look at Chhetri. He had a chance against Dempo but failed because in the last year he only had played around 20 matches this year. Every team has good Indian Defenders and midfielders but when it comes to strikers every team besides Pune FC, HAL SC, Mumbai FC, and Pailan Arrows depends on foreigners. Also look at these teams I just mentioned. They don't rely on a foreign Striker most of the time and look at where they are. The languish mid table to bottom. Even two foreigner Dempo relies on a foreign striker in Ranty Martins. Just face it as long as all the money the big clubs have is spent ONLY on foreign strikers we will always have a problem with stickers in India. Even I was at first disappointed when Jeje joined Pune. I thought he should have went to a big club but now I think Pune is better for him. Its better then the bench or being a feeder player to the big clubs.

If any Indian striker have skills and pedigree he would have been chosen definitely in the first 11.Bhaichung,Sunil,Jeje are some excellent examples of that. Why can't we admit that our strikers are just not upto the mark.If we have so much talent pool the clubs won't splurge money on foreigners.Give me 10 Indian striker's name who can play like 60% of Bhaichung.

we need a slot for indian strikers....then only we could get to see some competitors for the place too....if i am not wrong rafi was almost no one couple of season back...but after getting chances in mah utd he is a renowned name....same could be said for xavier vijay kumar....what is their state in next season.... a shift to another top club and lose its spot in playing xi....
the end result i would say is these clubs dont really give chance to indian strikers to perform their full talent...

Exactly that is why we hear about these so called big talents coming up but they never do because they are given short minutes. Imagine where Robin Singh would be right now. The kid has a lot a talent and a lot of a hell of potential yet how many I-League games has he played so far.

Chirag Kerala vs Air India,Chirag have to snatch full 3 points here.but I doubt it,simply because no one is there to score the goal.apparently Vineeth wont play today struggling with hamstring.and anybody from TVM here going for the match?

Whatever talent he has he is wasting that.I think he got enough chances to show his talent. If a player being rested in I League match for poor mental strength then I doubt his capabilities.I personally feel Rafi is much better than Robin.Introducing quota system is not going to improve standards.Indian strikers need to earn their place in team.
