Bangalore: The wait for the inauguration of FIFAs International Academy at Bangalore Football Stadium continues after AIFF general secretary Kushal Das confirmed on Monday that the Goal project will miss its October deadline due to logistical issues. We had plans to launch in October. But now we are looking at inaugurating it by the end of the year. Most of the work is over except for furnishing. We also need to look into housekeeping and ensure that the selected kids are enrolled in an educational programme, Das said, adding that if they fail to get admission in schools,a tutoring facility will be arranged to help them with their academics. As far as finding a coach for the elite academy is concerned,Das said,Though Scott O Donell (AIFF Academy instructor) and Rob Baan (AIFF technical director) will be overseeing the operations,we have identified an individual for the job and negotiations as per contract are on, he said without divulging any details.

Hopefully is at level of arthur or better is coming for all academies
I am not to sure about that. I feel Papas is a very rare case and that we are so lucky to have him. Australia is not known for there coaches and right now they are ran by a bunch of Germans and Dutch coaches (and a Scot). The best Australian coach at the moment is probably Ange Postecoglou who won the A-League twice in a row but that is really it. Perhaps we can scower the Australian state leagues and discover the next young coaching talent.
Watched a practice game between u15 boys of AIFF Academy Mumbai and a local super division senior team (average age 23, two foreigners). Full passing game, i think i saw not more than 3-4 long passes. Match was draw, some of the players are brilliant (I don't know the names). Will post a few pics when I am free.

Still need a few more long balls. Football is not only short passing.
