the team which is set to participate in u16 afc qualifiers later this year has only character to show for...no results and this is with local clubs/academies...not looking good for india u16 this time around...wonder if they will make it past the qualifiers.
This result makes you wonder what the coaches do with the players every day.<div><br></div><div>The other U16s had 2-years in an "average" Academy (after seeing the result of the current IMG batch for the United States I am not convinced that they are good enough any more). Obviously the AIFF-FIFA Academies are still very young and technically are not even completed but still, against club sides I expect better.</div><div><br></div><div>Again, more of a reason for IMG-Reliance to invest in grassroots in this country over the senior level. Let the AIFF and the clubs deal with that with some involvement from IMG-Reliance but overall they should have worked more in youth development and tried funding more club Academies around the country.</div>
<br><br>They will lose the match again for umpteenth time but AIFF will manage to cover and make it look like 300 brave Spartans fighting to death against Persians. <br>
