    I am just wondering though. Why 2 days. Even school teams in America get at least 3-4 days in trials. I understand the tight schedule the AIFF have with this but can we at least add an extra 2 days. Its 100 kids for gods sake.

    Looks like the AIFF coaches have an fantastic eye for talents! <!-- s:angry-banghead: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/angry/banghead.gif" alt=":angry-banghead:" title="Bang Head" /><!-- s:angry-banghead: --> <!-- s:happy-partydance: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/happy/partydance.gif" alt=":happy-partydance:" title="Dance Party Dance" /><!-- s:happy-partydance: --> <!-- s:sad-suicidepills: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/sad/suicidepills.gif" alt=":sad-suicidepills:" title="Suicide Pills" /><!-- s:sad-suicidepills: -->

    may be aiff is first interested to get their search in those places where the academies are gonna be kept like delhi,kolkatta,bangalore and mumbai then might look for rest of the places in india <!-- s:confusion-scratchheadyellow: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/confusion/scratchheadyellow.gif" alt=":confusion-scratchheadyellow:" title="Yellow Scratching Head" /><!-- s:confusion-scratchheadyellow: --> <!-- s:confusion-shrug: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/confusion/shrug.gif" alt=":confusion-shrug:" title="Shrug" /><!-- s:confusion-shrug: -->
    and also i do feel that 2 days is too less to predict the young players ability

    If I'm not wrong they have just shortlisted players who will further undergo 1 month training camp in Mid March.

    2 Days is very less but in India I guess it easy to differentiate players with good Basics.
  • True, also I am guessing most of those kids dont even know the basics of the game so understandable in a way

    Really positive development.
    Hope the number of participants in these open trails increases in other places too. That would give better chance of scouting the better talent.

    In kerala d selection process is that 10 players are selected from each district by d district FAs. and d final camp for 140 players is held at kochi.i still doubt whether d best players will be selected as the scouting is not proper. But d +ve thing is that d selection is done throughout kerala, considering d other places wer selection was done in cities only. also there was media awareness about d trials , so hoping for more no. of players participating in d trials

    agreed..this could be followed across other states as well..AIFF can also think of organising school league in smaller cities & maybe provide the required authority to local school coaches to select better players to attend such trials..School league is what india needs now..Subroto Cup is just knockout and we do not get to see all players...I league clubs need to get involved in this.

    There may be a little delay, does not matter. They will start this year so just be happy with that. Even in places like England, USA, and Spain they have delays all the time. The Emirates for Arsenal had a 6 year delay for gods sake!
