That same concept would be a dissaster for football... the comparison does not even have legs to stand on mate.
<br><br>Yeah but my point was about willingness. EFLI is able to get grounds-however shoddy they are. They even organised Delhi game in floodlights. They didnt need any retired foreigner to popularise the game. They sent publicity material in universities. They have a working website. They will have games shown on TV. All this for an alien sport American Football which do not have even 0.01% of fans as compared to Indian Football.<br>What has IMG-R done for Indian football besides excuses. We ahve two game coming up without TV telecast. IMG league cancelled while in same cities EFLI will manage American Football league.<br>
Okay, first of all, did we really expect telecast of any of these games? We did not even know the venues till like last week and we even had the chance that the Philippines could have dropped. Unless you want some shit service like DD Sports you were never going to get anyone when this is organize a week earlier.<div><br></div><div>Next up, so what. My local U10s soccer league has a working website with so many "professional" looking graphics and shit. What does that say? Also, they don't show full matches on TV, at least not all the matches. Last season it was mainly a bunch of matches being distributed on TV in 30-minute packages. How is that even productive or good for the game?</div><div><br></div><div>Also, how many stadiums do they have? Last season all the games were in Sri Lanka. This season they may have 3 but all the stadiums are still shit, floodlights or not. You want to show off a good product, floodlights don't make the product or stadium look any better.</div><div><br></div><div>As for their marketing? Where? Has anyone seen any promos? Anything in the news channels? I look up "Elite Football League of India" and get nothing. Hell, I found nothing on colleges as well.</div><div><br></div><div>This league will not last. There are people pumping some money into it in the hope that perhaps it can rise but eventually it will collapse on itself.</div>
