1) Milkha Singh Race is very different then what media or Film portrayed. According to the film, he was leading and then he looked back and slowed down and also that he broke World Record. In reality, he was 4th right from the beginning and he did not break world record either.
2) Sriram Singh record in 800 m still stands as National Record. He was leading around 500 meter mark but then paid the price of middle upburst and finished 7th I think.
3) P T Usha performance I would say that it was pure grace and best ever by Indian Athlete. Unlucky that she lost Bronze by 0.01 seconds.
Munna,Milka's race is always overstated. He was clear 4th.I didn't need any replay to make my mind with respect to his position that he was 4th.Also,they say that he along with top 3 broke the Olympic Record and not the world record.Eg) Olympic Record for example might have been 45.9 sec prior to that,so all Top 4 ran better than 45.9 sec in the Finals.
P.T Usha was closer as any of Athletes who finished 2nd ,3rd,4th could have won the Silver and Bronze and she was unlucky to finish outside the medals. Clearly, she was the closest we have come to winning an Athletics Medal.
Also,Maybe tomorrow or day after i will briefly cover our Rio Performance and Tokyo 2020 road map.
I was waiting for Nagendra to share his views as he had said earlier than me, that he would like to share his views on Rio and Tokyo, but it seems he is busy(Official Work). So,i will share very very briefly About Rio and Tokyo.
