That and cricket is invisible here. Unless you live near a major Indian populated area you won't see much cricket and sadly even in those areas it is tough because basketball is the number 1 sport among Indian youth (As far as I see at least).

There are two type of Indians in USA-one who are Indian citizens but are in USA on student visa, work visa, dependent visa, Green card. Other type of Indians who are born there out of their parents who came there and thus became US citizens. According to rules, you should have US passport to represent USA team. Thats why most of the Indians playing cricket in USA are ineligible to represent USA as they are there on visas or Green Card. But in College Cricket, lot of Indians are there. My friends played for Texas A&M.
Well I guess that depends on what area of the country you are in. I know the Northern states in America are dominated by basketball when it comes to Indian youth. HOWEVER whenever I see any Indian adults, whether they were born or not in India, its all about the cricket. Nothing else. Maybe basketball but they all know cricket which is surprising.
As for the video you posted. I remember that. It is not actually affiliated with the NCAA (the college sports administration in America) but the USACA (United States of America Cricket Association).
And if you go onto wikipedia and look up the US Cricket team... copy and paste each name into google and look up their cricinfo profile (wiki has the most recent squad while cricinfo does not) and you will see that only like 1-2 of the players are actually American born. Some are from South Asia but the crust of it is from the Caribbean. Our captain is a former Maharashtra Ranji Trophy player... Sushil Nadkarni.

I guess it is difficult to find women in USA who can hold cricket bat.
Young american girls/women don't get much time after cheerleading to actualy play cricket. :P
