• wickets/pitch now made in India since late 1990s do not provide any bounce/pace/seam/swing to fast bowlers at all. Day / night cricket has killed any early morening moisture as well. thats why India has such a good record at home. and the same India team lose when they go to New Zealand, Australia, England. Having said that, there was an era of fast bowling / medium pace in say 1988-1995 with the help of MRF pace foundation and India had plenty of medium pacers. India used to play with 3 seamers, sometimes even 4. Srinath, venkatesh prasad, Ankola, Razdan, Kuruvilla, Banerjee, Wassan emerged in early 1990s.
• From what I remember it is a guy who failed in the US and is now trying to repair his reputation with this league.

I wonder what there final financial results of the first season were? Must have been enough for them to survive.

American Businessmen are very smart when it comes to investing in other countries. but this EFLI baffles me. They thought too much of India Pakistan rivalry and Mckinsey's report on Indian Economy
:P
They should look at other American business ventures in India. Mcdonalds make money in India selling McAlu-Tikki not by selling Quarterpounders. chevrolet in India makes money selling small cars, not by selling pick-up trucks. American Football is very much an unknown sport and then so much uncertainity with Pakistan team visa problems.
India n fast bowling...theres something culturally wrong.

true....but i always wondered we india and pakistan got almost same shit training procedures in cricket but how come you guys keep on producing world class fast bowlers for generations..

Various arguments u will come across...diet perhaps one factor? Other being role models which india has in batting n pkn has in bowling. Those legends then help groom nxt players from time to time.. in pkn if u have pace u are given then freedom whereas in india they r told to cut down and focus on control and seam...

Batsmen dominate in india and pitches help them..even now drs system..sachin isnt in favor and its not being implemented. Srinath was a proper great..likes of prasad were supporting acts usually.
