Till date I've read three books in English.
Stories from Indian Football - Jaydeep Basu (excellent for beginners, its short and concise, cheap too)
History of Indian Football - Nirmal Nath (contains a LOT of information, slightly expensive and can be overwhelming for beginners)
Goalless - Story of a unique footballing nation - Boria Mazumdar, Kaushik Banerjee (serious research work, talks about socio-political impact of football in India)
