2012 Bangalore Super Division

The 2012 Bangalore Super Division is starting soon (March 19th) but it may be delayed due to the Central Government Civil Services Football tournament. Anyway this tournament could be important as the winner "technically" gets to play in the I-League 2nd Division for 2013 (provided they pass the AFC Criteria and (hopefully) a 2nd Division I-League criteria).

The teams I dont know yet but I know that MEG Bangalore and HAL SC are involved. Anyway it looks like I wont be personally supporting a team as from the looks of it all the clubs are named after a group or company.

BDFA Super and A division matches could not get started today as the referees did not report on the ground.

BDFA 1st division player collapses on practice pitch, dies
Bangalore Mars player, Venkatesh, collapsed while warming up at practice area. This unfortunate incident happened at 87th minute when his team was playing against SW Railway at the Bangalore Football Stadium.
No ambulance was present at the stadium. Venkatesh’s teammates hired an auto rickshaw and took him to closest hospital, Hosmat Hospital, for immediate treatment. However, he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
Doctors suggest a natural death at first sight. The exact cause of death can be ascertained only after the post-mortem report comes out.

its cool. Both divisions barely gain any media attention so maybe we could rename this thread "Bangalore Super and A Division"

What is 1 lakh for God's sake. Although I understand that is what BDFA is capable of giving. Why don't they learn lessons from others' mistakes? An ambulance is least they could have provided

That is probably the reason for 1 lakh, also lets admit. The "A" Division Bangalore League is the equal to recreational soccer here in America. Its practically sign up and your in. I bet that the interest in Ambulance (at least at the stadium) is due to the quality and speed which is technically slow.
  • Terrible. Football stadia in Bangalore are inside proper city and hospitals are near every stadium.

yes but this is again like go to work and come here to play football. They probably were not expecting anyone to die or at least even break a leg because of how slow the games would be. Of course though I could be wrong.
