loan to whom ogba kalu should be released rather than loaning him to other i league clubs if they do loan him than send him to vasco in second division
Why... he is not a bad player. Seasoned in I-League. To be honest I would call it a bad move for Sporting but if they can get better than let them.
I would rather see him go to Mumbai FC to be honest though. Yakubu, Opara, and Amiri are good but Evans Quao is not looking all that good at the moment.
Amoah is okay. Based on his history it seems that his career may have fell off in 2004. Almost similar to Rohan Ricketts only Ricketts was at a higher level.
Anyway he last played in the Indonesian Top Division. Perhaps he can provide some good cover for Sporting. Gacesa is a weird signing. He last played in the Maltes Premier League (Malta) and as a usually follower of that league (wiki reasons) I can see him doing average in India. He wont light us up but he will surely be enough to do the job. Overall good signings by Sporting. However Ogba Kalu would have been better than Amoah but I am guessing the other Nigerian is in charge of midfield.
the one thing that really bothers me is that how come teams release andsign new players midway through the season? is there no thing here such as transfer window, deadlines etc??? is this a professional league?

@arsenalkid these are mostly loans which can happen anytime in season..... and the players that are bought have to be registered before the deadline to play in the league.....the players bought are part of the squad but cannot play till next registration window appears....here in i-league there is no registration deadlines which is unprofessional
There is a registration deadline for Indian players. Only the foreigners can be registered any time. But I think once registered they cannot change the foreigner unless some big injury.

is these are signs that AIFF allowing 5 players in squad and 4 on the field just like any other league in Asia or sticking to AIFF rule of 3 foreigners
Perhaps they are relegated Ogba Kalu to only Goa Pro League.

BTW does anyone know what happened with NS Manju. Sad that a club like United Sikkim did not resign him. AFC Asian Cup player with experience.

I believe Major League Soccer is also professional as well.

@kid. I dont think SCG have the finance to keep a foreign player only for the GPL. I think they will sign only one out of the two.
