So PFL is going to be a single tier competition with playoffs and team owners having to pay a franchisee fee...So where are the football enthusiasts who said that FIFA doesnt approve such leagues?
Haha, well I don't know where in the article it said they would have to pay a franchise fee but it will be a single-tier competition with playoffs at first, yes. They do plan on adding a second division in the future but I doubt that happens for at least a decade.
Finances. Each team will have to pay a franchise fee to the corporation that will be created to manage the league. Gastanes would not divulge the amount at the press conference and he said the teams will be the first to know. The franchise fee, which will likely be substantial, may be paid in installments.
Well then I stand corrected. This will certainly be an interesting league to follow and if it is allowed then makes what is happening here in India interesting.
It might sound funny... But somehow I've grown-up like that... Long back, same discussion happened b/w you & me Was aware that some Liverpool or M.U fan will question me...
I never followed single club or person or sport... Agree that there is rivalry b/w Liverpool & Manchester United... I do not have any hate on M.U... To be precise, I basically love sports and just have 1st, 2nd preference and so on..
There might people who follow multiple clubs... But they some-how will not open-up like me due to some fear... May be they do want be odd-man out kind of ( look differently or piss taker or whatever it is)
In I-league, my first preference goes to BFC.. But I do enjoy E.B/M.B winning matches.. I will support any I-league club who is representing India in AFC..
In international football, Other than India, I like Spain, Netherlands & Argentina... But I enjoyed Brazil & Germany world cup win... Even recently, Portugal win in Euro..
In cricket, Other than India, I do like SA. But I have enjoyed West Indies winning T20 world cup..
Even I follow all kinds of sports (indoor/outdoor).. I do have lot of interest in Track & Field, Racing
However, my top three interests are Football, Cricket & Formula 1..
