Ishan Debnath, the United Sports Club goalkeeper who suffered a nasty injury and shin bone was broken against Mohun Bagan, yesterday, he was successfully operated at the AMRI Hospital, Saltlake, Kolkata by Dr. Kanchan Bhattacharya, one of the most eminent orthopedic surgeons of the city in the evening on today. Ishan will be released from the nursing home on Tuesday.
In another injury blow, Eric Brown, the midfield general of the Purple Brigade also suffered a bone dislocation of his fingure in yesterday's match and will have to face further treatment.
The updates don't end here as United suffered another blow today afternoon when Anupam Sarkar horribly injured his nose in a clash with Mohammed Rafique while vying for the ball. This may send him out of action for a few days as well.
