They should convert the club from association / pvt ltd to Co-Op Society Ltd. So that they can issue shares and become true fan owned club just like the soci system in Spain.
Nabab Bhattacharya is a typical Maidani asshole. No fan base, no sponsors, no infrastructure. And Siliguri is a East Bengal bastion, unless a local club develops from the area, a washed up entity from Kolkata wont make an impact. Also United may not have money to buy train tickets to Siliguri
It's a pity I could not finish translating the interviews of Nabab Bhattacharya (not to mention my translation of The Transfer Saga)....So many interesting nuggets of information about the footballing scenario in India!!
However, I have not given up. Just need a bit of mental equilibrium and some spare time (which I sorely lacked in the last two years) to start working
Also need the occasional rap and reminders from IFNers too!! (@Deb_Ban has been encouraging me for so many years now )
I stopped because I thought I was at the point of irritating you, what with your other engagements. But I would again gently suggest not to keep things unfinished 🙂. Good if you are into it.
United SC had alredy stated their intention to participate in IL2 6-7 months back. But whatever happened to their other announcements of crowdfunding and selling memberships?
I am a bit disheartened by their performance in CFL this year. Though IL2 level wouldn't be higher than CFL, they need to pull their socks up to get any success. Hope they are able to retain their Belgian coach. And arrange some sponsorship.

Best of luck to United SC and Nabab Bhattacharya in their latest venture!
