@ArsenalFan700 Yes I agree but look at USA. When MLS was started, teams were using big multipurpose stadiums like Cotton Bowl in Dallas or Giants Stadium in New York. Slowly when they became feasible, they built compact Soccer-only stadiums like Toyota Stadium in Dallas or Red Bull Arena. In the start, let Chennai play in JLN stadium as there is no other option available. Better that then playing in some ground with a Cricket pitch at the center.
Deb, It really hasnt created any waves yet, Yes the city is cricket cracy but it does have its niche segments of people interested in other sports just like any other metro city in india.
As much as nethaji is since 1946, it isnt a widely supported club here nor is any other club the most popular because of the fact there is poor organisation from the TFA.
However some clubs are making the right noises and nethaji seems to be more in the small segments of the paper media esp The Hindu.
There takeover, Initiative to include chennai as part of WC U17 & noices of them thinking of joining the I-league are making news, fuelled offcourse that the owner is closely associated with the hindu.
There FB page does seem buzzing, Am sure they should be able to get a fanbase of close to 3 - 5K minimum each match.
Bear in mind this assumes 11 teams...and all manner of things will change from now to next month.. especially as Sunando Dhar has never managed to provide an annual calendar
so instead of 8 month league like most nations... we will be having 2 leagues run in 8 months??
Though excited to see more signing of ISL after few impressive ones.. will have to see how this turns out and then being used to help i-league if possible

If you fancy a good bet...I would back someone other than BFC or KEB for the title...
BFC would play 7 games then have AFC Champions League qualifiers
Before both teams start AFC cup ..they will have played 1/2 the I-league...so juggling both will take it's toll..
I'm putting a few notes on a Goan team winning it this year
